What's New in 4.0?
The betas released between March 24, 2026 (3.97 Beta) and April 14, 2026 (3.9992 Beta) now form the foundation of the 4.0 main release.
- The startup experience, empty project view, panel hierarchy, and timeline were refreshed to feel clearer, more readable, and more inviting.
- The subtitle workflow was simplified, styling moved into a separate step, more accessible visual styles were added, and subtitle AI evaluation plus preview resilience were improved.
- The text-to-speech preview now plays the mixed result together with the video audio. Audio settings gained a stronger volume boost, mono and stereo conversion, and better accessibility for channel layout controls.
- The YouTube chat and live preparation flow was expanded: the OBS step was removed, URL-based read-only chat watching was added, and moderation, return-to-live, microphone selection, and error feedback were improved.
- Export, slideshow, CTA, and overlay workflows were improved with estimated remaining time, photo orientation detection, left-right rotation, photo description, and output quality fixes. A bug where insertion-list transitions and overlays were missing from the result was also fixed.
- Accessible recording and update flows were refined with fixes for Meet, Zoom, and Teams progress, localized release notes in the update screen, and a better covered startup state at launch.
